Description
Legend of Rock Festival is a rock festival that has been held annually since 2007 near Słupsk, in an amphitheater located on the border of the villages of Strzelinko and Zamełowo. The festival was initiated by Mirosław Wawrowski, the manager of the Dolina Charlotty hotel complex, which hosts the event.
The first Legend of Rock Festival was created on the basis of a summer event called “Święto Legendy” (Festival of Legends). During the first edition, alongside rock concerts held in the 10,000-capacity amphitheater, the Dolina Charlotty complex hosted demonstrations of traditional crafts and professions that were gradually disappearing, as well as performances by a medieval knights’ brotherhood.
Subsequent editions gradually established the festival’s current format. The additional attractions were abandoned in favor of increasing the number of major artists performing at the festival.
